Backyard pond help.?;,d9030?

my grandma has a pond in her backyard. well its sorta like a pond......i guess lol. she has goldfish in a kiddie pool that's embedded in the ground.so its basically a kiddie pool that has plants and goldfish in there. what i need help with is, it is always getting dirty real quick. it gets all sorts of algae in it. is there a way to clean it more efficiantly since cleaning it is a hel. or is there something that i can do do help slow down the algae growth and keep it cleaner longer. I know that this isnt a proper place to have goldfish but its my grandma and she likes it so theres nothing i can really do but help her out with cleaning it.
